RockMaster is finally over and done with.
One word, TOUGH!
Seriously.
When i stood infront of every wall, i was like 'Gosh! How do i do this?'.
I kept falling.
I gave up once i reached 3 attempts to reduce the amount of points deducted.

Even the seniors who participated in the same catergory with me,
admitted that it was tough. Yet still, it was a great experience though.
I do want to join the upcoming competition.
=D

Now, time for rest as i will be leaving for Jerangkang Water Expedition
tomorrow. And i will be back on 18June09. Whooooooooooots ;D

RockMaster is just 3 days away from today.
We had a secretive training today where only a handful of us turned up.
I prefer it this way because the wall will not be full of climbers =D

Today, the seniors taught us some skills that can be used during bouldering.
One of it is heel hook. It's used when you need extra height to grab a tile.
Your heel has to be locked onto a tile while you go for the upper tile.
This is how it looks like.

Interesting right? Yeah, it looks tough but i did get the hang of it. I need more practice! :D

Secondly, today, they also taught us Dyno! It's used when you really have no other options to go to the upper tile. You will have to jump from one tile to the upper tile. This is how it looks like. :)

Well, i'm nervous yet excited for this Sunday's competition. Hopefully, all the trainings will be paid off =) Goodnight!

Yesteday's training was a super tiring one.
We did bouldering once again, to prepare some of us who are taking part in this weekend's
RockMaster Competition at Singapore Poly. The seniors gave us some routes for us to complete,
however, it wasn't that easy. Majority of the year ones, struggled alot while trying to complete those routes. Yet, it does help in improving us.
At 8pm, we had meeting for our expedition which will be held next week Monday.
(The day after my RockMaster Competition)
Not all of the year ones are interested in this, but those who already signed up, attended the briefing where we were told what to bring and such. It will be a 4 day 3 nights expedition. It will be a water expedition at Jerangkang which is located in Pahang, Malaysia. I've been to Mount Ophir 2 years back. It was fun. Hopefully, this expedition will be a fun one too despite me, no liking swimming or any activites that involves water :)

Yesterday's training was all about Bouldering.
Bouldering is a type of climb that doesn't uses a rope.
A climber will be given a route to complete. Only certain tiles are allowed
to be hold on or to be step on.
The year ones, learnt the basics of bouldering last night.
It was my first time doing Bouldering and at first thought, it was difficult for me.
As i tried more and more challenging routes, i'd got the hang of it.
It might be difficult but there's always a challenge, right? :D
Sad thing is that, while i was bouldering, hanging freely at the height of ard 2-3metres, i fell and
my knee got knocked onto one of the tiles. It's blueblack now. :(
It'll hurt when i put too much force on my right knee.
Sighs.
RockMaster is 2 Sundays from now.
I'll be looking forward to it eventhough i'm not yet prepared for it.
Hopefully my knee will cure in time.
^^V
